Christmas Pageant

Our Sunday School students will take part in our Christmas Pageant on  Christmas Eve, Sunday, December 24th during the 5:00 pm service. Toddlers get dressed up as little stars, and older children (and sometimes adults) play the parts of Mary and Joseph, the shepherds and angels, and the Three Wise Men. The children also read passages from the Bible that tell the Christmas story. Christmas hymns, including a candle-lit rendition of “Silent Night,” are part of this annual tradition.

Community Supper Soup Kitchen

Please join us in preparing and serving a Community Supper for those who are hungry and who need help.  Come by 2:30 pm to prepare supper in the kitchen of Golden Hill United Methodist Church located at 120 Elm Street in downtown Bridgeport.  Or come by 4:50 pm for a 5:00 pm serving of the dinner or to help clean up in the kitchen.  There is a growing number of men, women and children in Bridgeport who depend on this community dinner that is served each Wednesday at Golden Hill.  Bring gently used or new clothing for the season to distribute to those in need, some who struggle with homelessness.  Contact Teddy Bobroske at p19bobroske@fairfieldprep.org to let him know if you plan to participate.
