Grace's Hill Farm Planting Day

Volunteers are needed after 10:30 worship on April 29 to help Master Gardener Eric Frisk (photo) plant seeds in Grace's Hill Farm Garden, located on the hill above the upper parking lot. The Garden grows vegetables donated to local food pantries, including that of ministry partner Operation Hope. If you are interested in volunteering, come to church that Sunday with your work clothes and Eric will put your gardening talents to work, or show those without green thumbs the basics. Mental Health Presentation

One in five Americans is affected by mental health issues and the stigma associated with such illnesses. To raise awareness of mental health as part of Mental Health Month in May, Our Saviour's will hold a CoffeeTalk after 10:30 worship on Sunday, April 29, featuring member Lee Fallet, a mental health professional who works at Norwalk Hospital. Lee will give a short presentation on a range of common mental health concerns, covering topics such as depression and anxiety, and point the way to local resources that offer help. Lee's presentation will begin at 12:05 p.m. followed by a question-and-answer sessions. For more information, contact Lee.

Special worship music with Nick Page!

Come celebrate Mothers' Day, May 13, with your whole family at the 10:30 service as we sing music under the direction of renowned composer/conductor/song leader Nick Page. Nick has visited us once before to lead a community sing in 2006, and we were able to invite him to join us again following his May 12, 7 p.m. appearance with the Fairfield County Children's Choir at the Klein Auditorium in Bridgeport. (Four young members of Our Saviour's will be performing in that concert!).Nick will lead us in a variety of powerful songs adapted to our liturgical tradition, including:the spiritual Honey in the Rock; the Prayers of the People using the song "We Pray (Healing Prayer)", andand a joyful song of his own composition, "Do You Shine?", with a special role for children and their mothers. Vacation Bible School

Our popular Vacation Bible School (VBS) program attracts not only kids from Our Saviour's, but children from the surrounding area as well. Younger children generally participate in the program, while older kids serve as assistants.Using a curriculum from Group Publishing, our next VBS program, "Shipwrecked:Rescued by Jesus," will be held July 16-20, 2018, with daily sessions from 9:00 am to noon. Families are invited to attend a special concert on the final day to hear the children sing the songs they learned during the week. You can download VBS registration and volunteer forms here.
